About Us
Emergency Services Volunteers of McHenry County is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that supports the McHenry County Emergency Management Agency. We are a group of volunteers that are dedicated to supporting our local community, as well as, assisting other neighboring communities when called upon for the purpose of preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation efforts.
Our History
During the early days of the Emergency Management Agency, volunteers from the McHenry County Sheriff’s Reserves Unit were used.

For several years now, the Emergency Services Volunteers have assisted communities across McHenry County and beyond
Our Vision
The vision of the Emergency Services Volunteers of McHenry County is to train volunteers to assist the McHenry County Emergency Management Agency.

Some Fun Facts about our Organization
Our Board
Our board of directors, which consist of five directors are elected by the members of the Emergency Services Volunteers of McHenry County. Each director serves a two-year term, however the terms are staggered with three elected in one year, then two the next. Once the board of directors has been established, members of the board then elect the President, Secretary and Treasurer for a one year term. Both elections are held annually in August.
