Congratulations to all who successfully completed the Basic Wildland Search and Rescue (GSAR) training this past weekend, including some of our own new volunteers. We also would like to thank, Bill Pickett, our SAR Team Lead and all of the other instructors for leading the GSAR Training class which was hosted by Kane County EMA. GSAR training is provided by the Illinois Search and Rescue Council (ISARC) is required for any member to be deployed as a Strike Team during a SAR incident.
